RIP John Killoch

MYJO is deeply saddened by the death of John Killoch, who died last week after a long illness.

John was initially associated with the MYJO organisation during the time of Michael Beaumont, and he was active in organising special events for the senior band including an appearance on Midlands television, at which time he presented the show. Later when John and Nichola took over MYJO, he became a close friend and supporter of the band, and with his special connections in the USA, we were privileged to be one of the first bands in the UK to play the music of such people as Bob Florence and Rob McConnell. Later he began to send our CD’s across to the USA, and eventually his friend Bob Florence came over to Britain, and we performed an unforgettable concert with him. He was also a great helper with many of the big bands in the Midlands, and we were given access to much special material that would otherwise not have come our way. For this and for his long friendship with us we are very grateful.

We send our love and condolences to his wife Vivien, and to his two daughters, Ruth, Moira and their families at this sad time, and hope that in due course, when the current crisis has abated, we can pay him our proper respects.

John and Nichola Ruddick
